Los Angeles Looks To Bounce Back From Loss To Washington
The Sparks enter this matchup on the heels of a 95-86 loss to the Washington Mystics on Sunday.
The Sparks trailed by 11 points in the fourth quarter before going on an 8-0 run that trimmed the deficit to 82-79 at the 6:25 mark. But Sonia Citron responded, scoring five straight points, giving Washington an eight-point advantage it would not relinquish.
Dearica Hamby paced the offense with 26 points, seven assists, and four rebounds. Kelsey Plum added 25 points, six assists, three rebounds, and three steals.
Wings Aim To Snap Two-Game Losing Streak
After knocking off the Indiana Fever 81-80 on Aug. 12, Dallas has dropped its last two contests, including a 106-87 defeat at the hands of the Las Vegas Aces.
Although the Wings trailed by 11 points at the break, they managed to get within six points multiple times in the third. However, the Aces responded with a 14-4 run and led by double digits throughout the final frame.
Maddy Siegrist led the way with 23 points and six rebounds on 11-for-15 shooting from the field. Paige Bueckers finished with 18 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
