  • The Los Angeles Sparks are 12-14 and have the second-worst record in the Western Conference.
  • The Indiana Fever are 17-12 and have the third-best record in the Eastern Conference.
  • These teams clashed on Jul. 5, with the Sparks claiming a 89-87 victory.

One of the games on Tuesday’s WNBA slate features the Los Angeles Sparks hosting the Indiana Fever. Can Indiana extend its win streak to six games in our Sparks vs Fever pick?

Sparks Seek Seventh Win In Eight Games

After their season-high five-game win streak ended with a 15-point loss against the Las Vegas Aces, the Sparks rebounded with a 108-106 double overtime victory against the Seattle Storm on Aug. 1.

In a game that featured 14 ties and 12 lead changes, it was only fitting that this one came down to the last few possessions. Dearica Hamby’s layup gave Los Angeles a 108-106 lead with 4.3 seconds left to play in double overtime.

Seattle had a chance to tie it up on the ensuing possession, but Skylar Diggins’ shot attempt fell off the rim as the game clock expired. Rickea Jackson finished with a team-high 27 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. Kelsey Plum added 22 points, seven assists, and four rebounds.

Indiana Aiming For Sixth Consecutive Victory

The Fever are hot, having won each of their last five contests. Their latest triumph includes a 78-74 win against the Seattle Storm on Sunday afternoon.

Indiana led 73-61 at the 4:41 mark in the fourth quarter. However, the game was far from over. Seattle went on a 13-2 run to get within a point (75-74). Kelsey Mitchell scored inside with 8.1 seconds to play. And after the Storm failed to hit a game-tying 3-pointer, Aliyah Boston iced it for the road team with a free throw, giving Indiana its fifth straight victory.

Natasha Howard was one of three starters who reached double figures. She led the way with 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Sophie Cunningham contributed 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting, while Boston finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Sparks vs Fever WNBA Pick

Los Angeles is a top-five team from an offensive standpoint, but has the third-worst defensive rating. On the other side, Indiana ranks fourth in scoring and sixth in points allowed per contest (81.0).

After dropping two of three against the Fever in 2024, the Sparks have won both matchups this season. Despite this trend, look for Indiana to push their win streak to six games.
