  • The Los Angeles Sparks are 11-14 and have the second-worst record in the Western Conference.
  • The Las Vegas Aces are 13-13 and have the fourth-best record out west.
  • These teams previously faced off on Jun. 11, with the Sparks claiming a 97-89 victory.

One of the games on Tuesday’s WNBA slate features the Los Angeles Sparks hosting the Las Vegas Aces. Can Los Angeles extend its win streak in our Sparks vs Aces pick?

Sizzling Sparks Look To Make It Six Straight

Following a nine-point loss against the Minnesota Lynx on Jul. 10, Los Angeles has reeled off five straight wins. This includes a 101-99 victory against the New York Liberty on Saturday.

The Sparks jumped out to an early 35-20 lead before New York cut the deficit to 64-59 heading into the final frame. In a back-and-forth battle over the game’s final 10 minutes, the outcome wasn’t determined until the final possession.

Los Angeles got the ball to Rickea Jackson in the post, and she hit a tough shot as the game clock expired. She scored a team-high 24 points on 9-for-15 shooting overall and 4-for-6 from 3-point range.

Kelsey Plum finished with 20 points, eight assists, and four rebounds for an offense that shot 51.3 percent from the floor and 40.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Las Vegas Aiming To Build On Dominant Win Against Dallas

The Aces bounced back from back-to-back double-digit defeats by knocking off the Dallas Wings 106-80 on Sunday.

Las Vegas had a difficult time shaking Dallas early, as the teams were knotted at 27-27 after the opening stanza. The Aces outscored the Wings 46-31 in the middle two quarters, giving them a 15-point advantage.

The Aces also won the scoring battle in the fourth quarter by a 33-22 margin en route to a 26-point victory. Jackie Young led a balanced attack that included six double-digit scorers. She finished with 24 points, eight assists, and shot 5-for-7 from deep.

Jewell Loyd added 20 points off the bench, connecting on six of her 11 shot attempts. The Aces’ defense limited Dallas to 38 percent shooting overall and 4-for-19 from long range.

Sparks vs Aces WNBA Pick

Los Angeles is ranked fifth in offensive efficiency but has the third-worst defensive rating. On the other side, Las Vegas ranks eighth in scoring and ninth in points allowed per contest (82.6).

The Aces have won four of the previous five meetings between the franchises. However, Los Angeles has been playing some good basketball lately. With that in mind, look for the Sparks to cover the small spread, and it would not be overly shocking if they won the game outright, either.
