  • The Washington Mystics are 16-20 and occupy the No. 4 spot in the East.
  • The Las Vegas Aces are 23-14 and own the second-best record out west.
  • These squads previously faced off on Jul. 10, with the Mystics claiming a 70-68 victory.

One of the games on Saturday’s WNBA slate features the Washington Mystics hosting the Las Vegas Aces. Which team has the edge in our Mystics vs Aces pick?

Washington Looks To End Two-Game Skid

Following a two-game win streak, the Mystics have dropped each of their last two contests, including a 67-56 loss to the Connecticut Sun on Thursday night.

The teams combined for just 59 points in the opening 20 minutes of action, with the Mystics trailing 33-26. Connecticut won the scoring battle in the third quarter 23-19, before both teams scored just 11 points in the final frame, as the Sun won back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Sonia Citron paced the offense with 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting and a 4-for-4 effort from the charity stripe. Kiki Iriafen scored 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.

Sizzling Aces Hope To Make It 10 Straight

Meanwhile, Las Vegas enters this contest riding the wave of a nine-game win streak. This includes an 83-61 win against the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday night.

The Aces led 37-29 with 1:41 left to play in the first half. Chelsea Gray hit a step-back jumper, Jackie Young tipped in her own miss, and Gray knocked down another jumper, giving Las Vegas a 14-point advantage it would not relinquish.

Five players reached double figures for the home team. A’ja Wilson led the way with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Dana Evans contributed 17 points off the bench, connecting on seven of her nine shot attempts.

Mystics vs Aces WNBA Pick

Washington is 10th in points per outing, but has the sixth-best scoring defense. On the other side, Las Vegas is ranked sixth in offensive efficiency and ninth in defensive rating.

Although the Mystics have won two of the three meetings this season, look for the Aces to emerge victorious when these teams take the floor on Saturday afternoon.
