Mercury Seeking Their Fourth Straight Victory

Following a disappointing 83-61 loss to the Las Vegas Aces, Phoenix has responded with three straight wins. The team’s latest triumph includes an 83-79 win against the Chicago Sky on Thursday.

The Mercury trailed 22-17 after the game’s first 10 minutes. However, Phoenix used a 20-8 scoring edge in the second quarter, flipping an early deficit into a seven-point advantage at the break.

Fast forward to the fourth quarter. Chicago’s Kia Nurse knocked down a 3-pointer, tying the game at 71 apiece with 3:34 left to play. The teams battled down the stretch until Satou Sabally’s free throws finally clinched the win for Phoenix.

New York Aiming For Its Third Consecutive Win

After suffering a 78-62 loss against the Atlanta Dream, the Liberty have bounced back with two straight wins, including an 89-63 victory against the Washington Mystics on Thursday night.

The short-handed Liberty trailed 20-18 after the first quarter but it didn’t stay that way for long. After enjoying a 25-18 edge in the second quarter, New York outscored Washington 46-26 in the second half. This included a decisive 27-14 margin in the final frame.

The Liberty’s offense featured a balanced attack in which five players reached double figures. Isabelle Harrison led the team with 16 points and five rebounds off the bench. Emma Meesseman registered 15 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Mercury vs Liberty WNBA Pick
