  • The Minnesota Lynx have won both of their matchups this season by double-digit margins.
  • The Dallas Wings are 0-2 following a 79-71 loss to the Seattle Storm.
  • These squads last played on May 16, with the Lynx claiming a 99-84 victory.

One of the games on Wednesday’s WNBA slate features the Minnesota Lynx hosting the Dallas Wings. Can Minnesota extend its win streak to three games in our Lynx vs Wings pick?

Lynx Aiming For The Third Straight Win

The Lynx are on a two-game win streak, which includes an 89-75 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday. After scoring 34 points in the team’s opener, Napheesa Collier led the way with 23 points, six rebounds, and two steals.

Alanna Smith added 18 points and three rebounds on an efficient 7-for-10 effort overall and 4-for-7 from 3-point range.

Kelsey Plum’s basket got the Sparks within five (75-70) with 7:45 left to play. However, Karlie Samuelson and Smith each made a 3-pointer during an 11-0 run in which Minnesota held Los Angeles scoreless for five and a half minutes.

Dallas Hopes To Avoid An Early Three-Game Slide

Meanwhile, the Wings suffered a 79-71 defeat at the hands of the Seattle Storm on Monday. Paige Bueckers powered the Wings’ scoring attack with 19 points, eight assists, five rebounds, and two steals in her second WNBA outing.

NaLyssa Smith finished with 12 points and four rebounds for a Dallas team that shot just 37 percent from the floor and 21.1 percent from 3-point range.

After trailing by 17 points in the first half, Dallas rallied to cut the deficit to three points late in the third quarter. Unfortunately, the home team got no closer than that down the stretch.

Lynx vs Wings Pick: Will Minnesota Beat Dallas For The Second Time In A Week?

Both teams are very similar from a scoring standpoint. Minnesota has the fifth-best offense in the association, while Dallas is ranked sixth.

However, the Lynx are the superior squad from a defensive perspective. They have the second-lowest defensive rating, and the Wings are ranked 12th.

Given those trends, look for Collier to have another monster outing and for Minnesota to improve to 3-0 on the season.
