Golden State led 73-72 in the waning moments before Erica Wheeler’s basket made it 74-73. The Valkyries had multiple shot attempts on the ensuing possession but could not convert, enabling Seattle to clinch the final postseason berth.
Janelle Salaun paced the Valkyries’ offense with 22 points and six rebounds. She shot 8-for-13 overall and an impressive 5-for-7 from beyond the arc.
