Minnesota Looks To Add To Recent String Of Double-Digit Victories

After suffering their first loss of the season against the Seattle Storm on Jun. 11, the Liberty are riding a two-game winning streak. This includes a 76-62 victory against the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday.

Courtney Williams was one of four players in double figures. Her final stat line included 20 points, five assists, four rebounds, three steals, and two blocks. Diamond Miller and Anastasiia Olairi Kosu finished with 12 points each off the bench.

Minnesota trailed 39-30 at the break. But things went south after that. The Lynx outscored Las Vegas by a decisive 46-23 margin in the second half, including a 26-13 advantage in the third quarter.

The Lynx won the rebounding battle 46-40; enjoyed a 40-22 edge in paint points, and turned 21 Las Vegas turnovers into 27 points.

Sparks Aim To Snap Two-Game Skid

After beating the Aces 10 days ago, the Sparks have dropped their last two games, including a 98-67 drubbing at the hands of the Storm.

Rickea Jackson scored a team-high 17 points but shot just 4-for-15 overall and 1-for-6 from 3-point range. Azura Stevens, who also struggled from the field (6-of-16), contributed 16 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals.

Los Angeles trailed by 10 points at the break. However, Seattle broke the game open in the third period, outscoring the Sparks 28-14 to take a comfortable 75-51 lead into the final frame.

Lynx vs Sparks WNBA Pick

Minnesota is ranked second in both offensive and defensive efficiency. Meanwhile, Los Angeles boasts the league’s fifth-best scoring average, but ranks 11th in points allowed.

The Lynx have emerged victorious four times in the previous five matchups between these franchises. Based on what we’ve seen thus far, that trend is likely to continue.
