One of the games on Sunday’s WNBA slate features the Minnesota Lynx hosting the Chicago Sky. Will Minnesota push its win streak to five games in our Lynx vs Sky pick?

Lynx Seek Fifth Straight Victory

After suffering a 68-64 setback against the Washington Mystics nearly two weeks ago, the Lynx have bounced back with four consecutive wins, including an 82-71 victory against the Golden State Valkyries on Saturday night.

Napheesa Collier put up 24 points and grabbed six rebounds. She also shot an efficient 8-for-11 from the field and converted all five of her free throw attempts. Courtney Williams added 15 points and three rebounds, and Kayla McBride contributed 12 points and three assists.

Minnesota trailed 56-54 midway through the third quarter before a 15-0 blitz turned the small deficit into a nine-point lead going into the fourth quarter. The Lynx extended their lead to 78-63 on a 3-pointer from McBride with 4:16 left to play en route to an 11-point victory.

Chicago Aiming For Third Win In Its Last Four Outings

Following a three-game losing streak, the Sky have responded with two wins in their previous three outings. The team’s latest triumph includes a 92-85 win against the Los Angeles Sparks on Jun. 29.

Angel Reese and Ariel Atkins accounted for nearly half of the Sky’s scoring output. Reese led the charge with an impressive stat line that included 24 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks. Atkins added 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field and 2-for-5 from beyond the arc. She also tallied two rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.

Chicago trailed 62-61 through the first three quarters before Reese helped the Sky take over down the stretch. She scored 11 of her 24 points in the final frame, and her three-point play gave Chicago an 85-74 advantage with two and a half minutes left.

Lynx vs Sky WNBA Pick

It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that the league’s top team ranks first in offensive and defensive efficiency. Meanwhile, Chicago struggles at both ends of the floor, ranking 12th in both scoring (78.8 PPG) and points allowed (87.7 PPG).

Minnesota swept the three-game set last season and has won four of the previous five meetings between these franchises. With that in mind, it’s more than reasonable to go with the Lynx emerging victorious and covering the spread as well.
