One of the games on Sunday’s WNBA slate features the Minnesota Lynx hosting the Atlanta Dream. Can Minnesota notch its fifth straight against Atlanta in our Lynx vs Dream pick?
Minnesota Aims For Its Fifth Straight Victory
The Lynx are riding the wave of a four-game win streak. Their latest triumph includes a 109-78 rout of the Las Vegas Aces on Friday night.
Minnesota put this one away through the first three quarters. During that stretch, the team shot 9-for-20 from 3-point range and 22-of-31 from the charity stripe. The result was a sizeable 85-61 advantage entering the fourth quarter.
Napheesa Collier scored a team-high 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Courtney Williams was exceptional, scoring 23 points on an efficient 10-for-12 effort from the field. She also converted three of her four attempts from beyond the arc.
The Lynx will look to duplicate its dominant effort against one of the best defenses in the league.
The Dream Are Shooting For Their Third Win In Four Outings
Atlanta bounced back from a double-digit defeat against the Las Vegas Aces with a 90-79 win against the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday.
The Dream led 84-71 in the fourth quarter before Sami Whitcomb knocked down back-to-back 3-pointers to trim the lead to seven points. Atlanta responded by scoring six of the game’s final eight points to secure the victory.
Allisha Gray led the way with 28 points, along with seven rebounds and six assists. Brittney Griner, who played 11 seasons for the Mercury, added 17 points and eight rebounds.
Lynx vs Dream WNBA Pick
Minnesota leads the field in offensive and defensive efficiency. Meanwhile, Atlanta ranks fifth in scoring (83.5 PPG) and fourth in points allowed per game (78.7).
True, the Lynx won the previous meeting between the ball clubs by a slim four-point margin. However, Minnesota has taken eight of the last 10 matchups. With that trend in mind, look for the Lynx to extend their winning streak to five games.
