Minnesota Aiming For Fourth Straight Win

The league’s top team is riding a three-game win streak. This includes a dominating 91-68 victory against the Chicago Sky on Tuesday.

Minnesota got off to a slow start and trailed 24-18 after the first quarter. However, the home team responded with a devastating 52-26 run over the second and third quarters, turning an early six-point deficit into a 20-point advantage.

All of the Lynx’s starting five reached double figures. Napheesa Collier stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and four blocks. Kayla McBride contributed 19 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Aces Seek Fourth Win In Their Last Five Games

Las Vegas has been playing equally well lately, winning three of its previous four contests. Unfortunately, their recent three-game win streak was snapped with an 80-70 loss to the Indiana Fever on Thursday night.

After the teams battled to an 18-18 stalemate in the opening quarter, the Aces led by six points at intermission. Indiana responded with a solid second-half performance, outscoring the Aces 45-29. This includes a 27-15 scoring advantage in the third quarter.

A’ja Wilson scored a team-high 20 points, along with six rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Jackie Young’s final stat line included 19 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

Las Vegas seeks its first win against Minnesota since May 2024.

Lynx vs Aces WNBA Pick

Minnesota excels at both ends of the floor, ranking second in scoring (84.9 PPG) and first in points allowed per outing (74.7). Meanwhile, Las Vegas is ranked eighth in offensive efficiency and ninth in defensive rating.

The Lynx took three of the four regular-season meetings between the franchises in 2024. Minnesota also won the lone matchup this season by a double-digit margin. With that in mind, this trend is expected to continue when these conference foes clash on Friday night.
