One of the games on Tuesday’s WNBA slate features the New York Liberty hosting the Dallas Wings. Which team has the edge in our Liberty vs Wings pick?

New York Aims To Extend Win Streak To Two Games

The Liberty recently ended a four-game losing streak with an 87-78 victory against the Connecticut Sun on Sunday afternoon.

New York led by a seven-point margin at the break and stayed ahead through the second half en route to its 18th victory of the season.

Sabrina Ionescu was a matchup nightmare, torching the Sun’s defense with 36 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists on 14-for-22 shooting. Jonquel Jones put up 21 points, along with nine boards, and four dimes.

The Wings Aim To End Their Two-Game Slide

Following a 10-point win against the Liberty on Jul. 28, Dallas has dropped its last two contests. Their latest setback was an 88-78 loss to the Indiana Fever on Friday.

The game was tied 22 apiece after the opening quarter before Indiana outscored Dallas 48-35 over the middle two quarters to take a 13-point lead into the final frame.

The Wings got within six points (75-69) midway through the period, but the Fever answered with five straight points to secure the victory.

Paige Bueckers powered the offense with 22 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals. She was the only Wings player to reach double figures.

Liberty vs Wings WNBA Pick

New York is a formidable opponent on both ends of the floor, ranking third in both offensive and defensive efficiency. Meanwhile, Dallas is seventh in scoring and 10th in points allowed per contest (86.6).

The Liberty have taken four of the five previous meetings in this series. And although Breanna Stewart is still out of the rotation with a bruised knee, New York has enough talent to come out on top in this matchup.
