One of the games on Tuesday’s WNBA slate features the New York Liberty hosting the Indiana Fever. Can Indiana snap New York’s win streak in our Liberty vs Fever pick?
Liberty Seek Fourth Straight “W” While Fever Hope To Notch Fourth Win In Five Games
Following a 79-70 setback against the Seattle Storm on Jul. 6, the Liberty have responded with three straight wins, including a 98-77 victory over the Fever before the All-Star break.
New York led by eight points after the opening stanza and increased its lead to 15 points at intermission (53-38). The home team seized control of the contest for good following a three-point play from Breanna Stewart that gave the Liberty an insurmountable 71-48 advantage with 3:57 left to play in the third quarter. Indiana never got closer than 15 the rest of the way.
Stewart powered the Liberty’s scoring attack with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists. The three-time WNBA champion also had four blocked shots. Sabrina Ionescu contributed 15 points, nine assists, and three rebounds.
On the other side, the Fever’s offense was led by Kelsey Mitchell, who finished with 16 points on 5-for-11 shooting. Sophie Cunningham added 12 points and four rebounds. Although Indiana had four players in double figures, the team shot 36.8 percent overall and 25 percent from 3-point range.
Liberty vs Fever WNBA Pick
New York enters this contest ranked second in both offensive and defensive efficiency. Meanwhile, Indiana has the third-highest scoring average and ranks seventh in points allowed per outing (80.2).
The Liberty took three of the four meetings in 2024. And this season, they have won two of the three head-to-head matchups, including a 21-point victory before the midseason break. New York has dominated this series over the last two seasons and that trend will continue on Tuesday night.
