  • The Connecticut Sun have yet to win a game this season.
  • These squads last played on Aug. 28, 2024, with the Fever claiming an 84-80 victory.

One of the games on Friday’s WNBA slate features the Indiana Fever hosting the Connecticut Sun. Can Indiana end its losing skid in our Fever vs Sun pick?

Fever Look To End Two-Game Slide

After winning two of their first three games, the Fever have dropped their last two, including an 83-77 loss to the Washington Mystics.

Kelsey Mitchell was one of three players who reached double figures. She finished with 14 points and four assists, but shot just 4-for-16 from the field.

Natasha Howard added 11 points and six rebounds, while Aliyah Boston chipped in with 10 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.

With Caitlin Clark out due to a quad injury, Indiana struggled, shooting 39.7 percent from the field and 23.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Connecticut Still Searching For Its First Win Of The Season

Meanwhile, the Sun have yet to win a game this season. Their latest setback includes a 109-87 defeat at the hands of the Dallas Wings.

Tina Charles and Marina Mabrey guided Connecticut’s offense. Charles finished with 27 points, six rebounds, and three assists on 9-of-14 shooting from the floor and 2-of-3 from 3-point range.

Mabrey logged 19 points and four rebounds and converted four of her nine attempts from long range. The game was close early, with Connecticut leading by a slim 24-23 margin after the opening stanza.

However, Dallas seized control in the second quarter, outscoring the Sun 33-18 during the game-changing stretch to take a 56-42 lead into the break.

After the teams played to a 32-32 stalemate in the third quarter, Dallas outscored Connecticut 21-13 in the final frame to earn its first victory of the season.

Fever vs Sun Pick: Who Has The Edge In This Eastern Conference Showdown?

Although the Fever have dropped their last two games, they are ranked fourth in offensive efficiency and have the third-best defensive rating. Conversely, the Sun are ranked last in scoring and have the second-worst scoring defense.

Connecticut won three of the four meetings between these teams in 2024. However, this group has been beaten by at least 20 points in three of their previous four outings.

In a matchup between two struggling ball clubs, look for Indy to snap its losing streak against the worst team in the association.
