  • The Indiana Fever are 19-18 and have the third-best record in the East.
  • The Seattle Storm are 20-18 and have the fourth-best record out west.
  • These teams previously squared off on Aug. 3, with the Fever winning that game 78-74.

One of the games on Tuesday’s WNBA slate features the Indiana Fever hosting the Seattle Storm. Can Indiana halt its losing streak in our Fever vs Storm pick?

Fever Hope To End Two-Game Slide

Indiana enters this matchup amid a two-game losing streak, which includes a 97-84 loss to the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday.

The Fever held a 30-25 lead after the first quarter. But the Lynx closed the first half with an 11-0 burst to take a 52-45 lead into the break. Napheesa Collier opened the third quarter with five straight points to extend Minnesota’s advantage to 12 points. Indiana did not get any closer than nine points the rest of the way.

Collier, who returned from a seven-game absence, scored 32 points on 11-for-19 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. Courtney Williams added a double-double that consisted of 14 points and 10 assists.

Seattle Aiming To Extend Win Streak To Four Games

After an 85-82 setback against the Phoenix Mercury, the Storm have won three straight, including an 84-82 victory against the Washington Mystics.

While Seattle was up 48-39 at intermission, this game went down to the wire. Washington’s Seg Sutton knocked down a 3-pointer to tie the game at 82-all with 6.1 seconds left in regulation.

On the game’s final possession, Nneka Ogwumike hit a tough fade-away jumper that rolled around the rim multiple times before finally falling through the net.

In addition to hitting the game-winning shot, Ogwumike led the team with 30 points, six rebounds, and two assists. She also shot an impressive 6-for-7 from long range. Dominique Malonga added 17 points, 10 boards, and three steals off the bench.

Fever vs Storm WNBA Pick

Indiana is fourth in scoring, but ninth in points allowed per outing (82.8). Meanwhile, Seattle is ranked eighth in offensive efficiency and has the third-best defensive rating in the league.

The Fever have won both head-to-head meetings this season. But given the Storm’s recent success, coupled with Indiana missing several key players, the edge goes to Seattle.
