One of the games on Thursday’s WNBA slate features the Indiana Fever hosting the Los Angeles Sparks. Can Indiana extend its win streak to two games in our Fever vs Sparks pick?

Indiana Looks To Build On Impressive Win Against Seattle

After dropping back-to-back games against the Golden State Valkyries and the Las Vegas Aces, the Fever got back into the win column with a 94-86 victory over the Seattle Storm on Tuesday night.

Aliyah Boston was the standout performer for the Fever. She scored a game-high 31 points on 13-of-18 shooting. She also tallied eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Kelsey Mitchell logged 26 points, four rebounds, and four assists, shooting 8-for-13 overall and an impressive 5-for-7 from beyond the arc.

Indiana led by six points at the break before outscoring the Storm by a 30-19 margin in the third quarter. Despite a 28-19 scoring edge by Seattle in the final frame, it wasn’t enough to prevent Indiana from getting the victory.

Sparks Hope To Snap Four-Game Losing Streak

Following a 97-89 victory against the Aces on Jun. 11, the Sparks have dropped four straight, including a 97-86 setback against the Chicago Sky on Tuesday.

Azura Stevens and Kelsey Plum guided an offense in which four starters reached double figures. Stevens was a force at both ends of the floor, finishing with 21 points, seven rebounds, four steals, and four blocked shots.

Although Plum did not have a great shooting night (6-of-17 overall and 0-for-6 from deep), she still managed to put up 20 points, along with five assists and two rebounds. The Sparks led by 12 points (29-17) after the first quarter, but Chicago cut the deficit to two points entering the fourth quarter.

With the game tied at 72-72, Sky forward Kamilla Cardoso scored five straight points, giving Chicago a 77-72 advantage. The Sky increased their lead from there en route to outscoring Los Angeles by a 30-17 margin.

Fever vs Sparks WNBA Pick

Indiana is ranked fourth in offensive efficiency and has the sixth-best defensive rating in the league. Meanwhile, the Sparks are eighth in points per game and 10th in scoring defense, surrendering 86.6 points per contest.

The two teams have split the previous four meetings. However, given the Sparks’ struggles this season, Indiana is expected to emerge victorious in this matchup.
