One of the games on Friday’s WNBA slate features the Indiana Fever hosting the Minnesota Lynx. Which team has the edge in our Fever vs Lynx pick?

Fever Shooting For Their Second Win Against League’s Best

Following back-to-back losses against Dallas and Washington, Indiana bounced back with a 99-93 victory against the Connecticut Sun on Sunday.

It didn’t look good for Indiana early, as the team trailed 48-29 at the break. But thanks to the Fever’s 55-36 scoring edge over the next two quarters, an extra frame was needed to decide the outcome.

Kelsey Mitchell scored the team’s first 10 points in overtime before Lexie Hull’s 3-pointer made it 97-90, enabling the Fever to produce their biggest come-from-behind win in franchise history.

Mitchell scored a team-high 38 points (including 34 in the second half and overtime), along with six assists and two steals. Odyssey Sims finished with 19 points and seven rebounds.

Minnesota Looks To Snap Late-Season Slide

On the heels of a six-game win streak, the Lynx have dropped their last two contests. This includes a 75-73 setback against the Atlanta Dream on Thursday night.

After trailing by a slim 42-40 margin at the break, Minnesota rallied, flipping the small deficit into a six-point advantage entering the game’s final 10 minutes. Atlanta responded with a 21-13 scoring edge in the final frame on its way to an impressive victory against the league’s top team.

Four starters reached double figures, led by Bridget Carleton. She finished with 16 points, six rebounds, three steals, and two blocked shots. Jessica Shepard had a monster game. She registered 15 points and a game-high 16 rebounds to go along with four assists.

Although the Lynx were superior to their opponent in nearly every statistical category, they did commit 18 turnovers, which led to 22 points for Atlanta.

Fever vs Lynx WNBA Pick

Indiana is fourth in offensive rating and eighth in defensive efficiency. On the other side, Minnesota leads the WNBA in scoring (86.6 PPG) and points allowed per game (76.0).

The Fever won the lone matchup between these teams in 2025 and hold a 3-2 edge across the previous five meetings. However, Minnesota is 8-2 in its last 10 outings. Furthermore, Indiana has several key players out of the rotation with season-ending injuries. With those factors in mind, look for the Lynx to emerge victorious in this one.
