Dream Seeking Its Seventh Straight Win
Atlanta enters this series riding a six-game win streak. This includes an 88-72 victory against the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday night.
The Dream led by a sizeable 51-28 margin at the break before Connecticut got within 63-54 late in the third quarter. However, Atlanta scored eight of the next 12 points to push its advantage to 71-58 and held on down the stretch.
Brittney Griner led the way with 17 points and four rebounds off the bench. Rhyne Howard added 15 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Indiana Looks To Extend Its Win Streak To Four Games
The Fever concluded the season on a three-game win streak, including an 83-72 victory against the Minnesota Lynx on Sep. 9.
Indiana led 49-36 at the break. But Minnesota opened the second half on a 9-0 burst to get within 49-45. The Fever responded with a 21-8 run and held on for an 11-point victory.
Four players reached double figures, led by Kelsey Mitchell’s 18 points. Odyssey Sims added 15 points, and Aliyah Boston finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.
