  • Team Clark will be without Caitlin Clark, Satou Sabally, and possibly A’ja Wilson.
  • Team Collier is without Rhyne Howard, but is overall healthier than Team Clark.
  • Napheesa Collier will look to make a statement as the leading MVP candidate.

After a stellar 2024 WNBA All-Star Game vs the Olympic team, the old format is back in 2025’s Team Collier vs Team Clark battle. Some key injuries will affect this matchup, most notable to team captain Caitlin Clark.

Team Clark Plagued with Injuries

The most pressing headline for Team Clark ahead of the All-Star break is injuries. Team captain Caitlin Clark will sit out the game after tweaking a groin injury, as will Satou Sabally. Without that pair, Team Clark faces a brutal uphill battle to keep up with Team Collier offensively. Reigning MVP A’ja Wilson is traveling with the team, but is also a toss-up due to being banged up. If she’s out, Team Clark has no chance of winning.

Team Collier Seeks MVP Statement

Team Collier isn’t faced with as many injuries as Team Clark, most notably missing Rhyne Howard. With team captain and leading MVP-candidate Napheesa Collier expected to play, her squad will enter this game with a key advantage. Collier has been a force on both sides of the court this season. She is averaging 23 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 3.5 apg, 2 spg, and 1.5 bpg. She’ll be tasked with leading her team to victory in this matchup.

WNBA All-Star Game Pick

The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game has the makings to be quite lopsided due to injuries. Despite that, the unpredictability of the game has the odds staying relatively close. Team Clark has very capable players filling in, so this game certainly won’t be a lock. That being said, it’s hard to imagine them winning this game without Clark, Sabally, and possibly Wilson. Take Team Collier to win this game by a decent margin.
