  • The Las Vegas Aces are 21-14 and occupy the No. 3 spot out west.
  • The Atlanta Dream are 22-12 and have a one-game lead over New York for the top spot in the East.
  • These squads previously faced off on Jul. 22, with the Aces winning by an 87-72 margin.

One of the games on Tuesday’s WNBA slate features the Las Vegas Aces hosting the Atlanta Dream. Which team has the edge in our Aces vs Dream pick?

The Aces Aiming For Their Eighth Straight Win

Following an embarrassing 53-point loss against Golden State on Aug. 2, Las Vegas has responded with seven straight wins, including a 106-87 victory against the Dallas Wings on Sunday.

The Aces led 55-44 at the break. While Dallas got within six points on multiple occasions in the third, Las Vegas closed the quarter with a 14-4 burst and led by double digits for the entire fourth quarter.

A’ja Wilson was an unstoppable force for the Aces. She powered the offense with 34 points, eight rebounds, three blocks, and two steals on 11-for-16 shooting from the field. Kierstan Bell added 18 points, six boards, and made six 3-pointers on seven attempts.

Atlanta Seeks Eighth Victory In Its Last Nine Outings

The Dream saw their six-game win streak end with a two-point loss to the Seattle Storm. However, this group bounced back with a 79-63 victory over the Golden State Valkyries on Sunday.

The teams were tied at 25-25 going into the break. But thanks to a 28-17 scoring edge in the third quarter, Atlanta coasted to its seventh victory over its previous eight contests.

Rhyne Howard, one of four starters to reach double figures, scored a team-high 14 points, along with six assists and five rebounds. Brionna Jones and Allisha Gray chipped in with 13 points each.

Aces vs Dream WNBA Pick

Las Vegas is seventh in points per game and ninth in points allowed per outing (82.9). On the other side, Atlanta ranks second in both offensive and defensive efficiency.

The Aces are 4-1 in the previous five meetings between these franchises, and have averaged 88 points per contest during that stretch. In a game that could go either way, give the slight edge to Las Vegas in this pivotal matchup.
