One of the games on Tuesday’s WNBA slate features the Las Vegas Aces hosting the Atlanta Dream. Can Las Vegas make it three straight in our Aces vs Dream pick?
Las Vegas Looks To Make It Three Straight
Following a two-game skid, the Aces have won each of their last two games, including a 90-86 victory over the Dallas Wings on Jul. 16.
A’ja Wilson scored a team-high 37 points on 60 percent shooting, along with 10 rebounds, two assists, and four blocked shots. Jewell Loyd added 14 points and eight rebounds.
Las Vegas led by 20 points entering the fourth quarter, but the game was far from over. Dallas opened the period with a 9-1 run and knocked down three consecutive shots from beyond the arc to pull within 86-84 with just 26.5 seconds left to play.
After Wilson gave the Aces a four-point advantage, the Wings failed to convert a pair of 3-point attempts, allowing Las Vegas to hold on in a game they should have won handily.
The Dream Aim To Solidify Their No. 2 Spot In The Conference Playoff Race
After back-to-back losses to the Indiana Fever (99-82) and New York Liberty (79-72), Atlanta responded in a big way, pounding the Chicago Sky to the tune of 86-49 in its final game before the All-Star break.
Atlanta had five players who reached double figures, led by Brittney Griner, who tallied 15 points, five rebounds, and two blocks. Brionna Jones and Allisha Gray added 14 points apiece.
In a contest where both teams were missing key starters, the Dream led by a comfortable 41-23 margin at halftime. Then, Atlanta opened the third quarter with a 14-0 run en route to outscoring Chicago 33-13, making the fourth quarter a mere formality.
After putting together a defensive clinic against the Sky, the Dream look to duplicate their effort against Las Vegas.
Aces vs Dream WNBA Pick
Las Vegas ranks ninth in both scoring and points allowed per outing. Meanwhile, Atlanta comes in at No. 4 in offensive efficiency and has the third-lowest defensive rating the association.
The Aces took two of the three meetings between the franchises in 2024. But given how well Atlanta is playing this season, look for this group to emerge victorious when these teams clash on Tuesday night.
