Jack Draper vs. Marin Cilic

British hopes at Wimbledon this year will rest on the shoulders of 23-year-old Jack Draper.

The young star has already showcased his ability at the highest level after winning at Indian Wells, and his game appears to be tailor made for a grass surface. However, Marin Cilic is an experienced player at this level, and he will pose serious questions of the Brit.

The Croatian famously reached the 2017 final at the All England Club. While we expect, Draper to win, we could see him drop his first set at the competition in the second round.

Sebastian Ofner vs. Tommy Paul

Sebastian Ofner was near faultless in the opening round after beating Hamad Medjedovic in straight sets. The Austrian won 90% of the points on the first serve before his opponent was forced to retire.

However, he will face a more talented rival in the form of Tommy Paul on Thursday. The American cruised through to the second round in straight sets after beating Johannes Monday in straight sets on Tuesday.

His return to form makes him hard to bet against on Thursday, but both players may win at least one set.

Iga Swiatek vs. Caty McNally

Iga Swiatek may have beat Polina Kudermetova in straight sets in the opening round, but the Pole still encountered issues in the first set. Swiatek may be the dominant force on the clay surface, but we are still yet to be convinced that her game is as adaptable on the grass courts.

Therefore, Caty McNally could be an interesting selection on the spread. The American was excellent in the opening round against British star Jodie Burrage, and she has previous success on the grass after reaching the third round in the doubles in 2021.

Sofia Kenin vs. Jessica Bouzas Maneiro

Spanish star Jessica Bouzas Maneiro was excellent in the first round after easily overcoming an unseeded rival with minimal fuss.

However, she will need to raise her game against the talented 23^rd seed Sofia Kenin on Thursday. Kenin was forced to bring her A-game in the opening round, but she eventually overcame Taylor Townsend in straight sets.

But, the Spanish player could be the interesting play after excelling on the grass in recent years, including when reaching the third round at Wimbledon 12 months ago.
