The traditional curtain raiser for the European soccer season is set for Bluenergy Stadium in Italy on Wednesday, as Champions League holders PSG take on Europa League winners Tottenham.

Despite both clubs ending last term with European honors, it could be worth noting that their campaigns couldn’t have been more contrasting. PSG were the dominant force in Europe, winning a dominant treble.

Meanwhile, Tottenham’s success in the Europa League final against Man United salvaged their blushes after finishing close to the relegation places in the Premier League standings.

PSG vs. Tottenham Picks

A tough clash awaits Frank’s Tottenham in the Super Cup this week, and little confidence would have been taken from their recent 4-0 defeat against Bayern Munich.

Defensive issues could impact Tottenham’s start to the season, and a big-scoring defeat could be inflicted on Spurs at the hands of PSG on Wednesday.
