Elche vs. Levante

It has been a slow start to the season for both Elche and Levante, as both are still searching for their first win of the season. The hosts have avoided defeat in their opening two matches this season, and despite struggles in front of goal, they have at least been consistently solid defensively. That could be an important factor to get them over the line in their hunt for a first win in 2025-26 this weekend.

Valencia vs. Getafe

Carlos Corberan’s Valencia are still chasing their first win of the season, and they host Getafe on Friday evening. Valencia were impressive 3-0 winners in the latest meeting between the sides, improving their win rate to 46% against their opponents. This looks like a perfect opportunity for the hosts to get a first win of the campaign at the Mestalla.

Alaves vs. Atletico Madrid

There will be increased pressure on Atletico Madrid this weekend, as they have already lost ground on their title rivals after failing to win in the opening two rounds. Xabi Alonso’s side have been solid defensively, and we could foresee them winning to nil once again on Saturday.

Espanyol have been one of the strongest starters at the beginning of the new season, collecting four points from the opening two rounds. However, they could be vulnerable against Osasuna this weekend. The visitors looked back to their best with a battling win last weekend, and another solid defensive effort could get them over the line on Sunday.

Rayo Vallecano vs. Barcelona

Rayo Vallecano will be aiming to respond following a defeat last weekend. But, there are few more daunting prospects than a showdown with Barcelona. Hansi Flick’s side came from behind to maintain their winning start to the season last weekend, but this should be a more straightforward assignment this Sunday.
