Mikel Arteta's side sat top at Christmas for the fourth time, but the team are yet to win the Premier League title from this position.
Arsenal's form has been consistent, winning each of their last three. However, their performance levels have been slightly underwhelming. They were nervous against Brighton on Saturday, eventually getting over the line with a 2-1 success.
However, the Gunners remain unbeaten in nine home fixtures in the EPL this season, scoring a remarkable 22 goals and conceding just four times.

For the first time in over 100 years, Aston Villa have accumulated an eleven-game winning streak. It is a sign of the progress made under Unai Emery, and their latest win over Chelsea showcased their excellent character.
Still, Emery refuses to be drawn into whether the club are chasing the EPL title, but wins over Man United and Chelsea in recent games have been eye-catching.
Villa have been excellent on the road this season, winning five of their nine matches. Meanwhile, they have scored 1.56 goals per game. However, they have kept clean sheets in just 11% of their fixtures on the road.

Aston Villa's electric form is hard to dismiss this week.
