It has been a reliable campaign to this point for the Canes, as they sit top of the Metropolitan Division after accumulating an overall record of 25-14-3.
The Dallas Stars also have serious playoff aspirations this term, but they will need to end a long losing streak, which currently stands at five games.
Rod Brind'Amour's Carolina Hurricanes have been one of the standout teams in the Eastern Conference so far this season. At present, they sit top of the Metropolitan Division standings after accumulating an overall 22-10-3 record.
Meanwhile, they have been efficient on home ice, going 11-5-1. The Canes showed their class in their latest outing after recording a 3-1 road success against the New Jersey Devils.
Taylor Hall, Logan Stankoven, and Nikolaj Ehlers all scored goals in the road success.

There is likely to be pressure on Glen Gulutzan's Dallas Stars this week, as they bid to snap a five-game losing run. Despite that poor form, the Stars still sit second in the Central Division, having won 25 of their 42 games this season.
Only the Colorado Avalanche have suffered fewer regulation time defeats than the Stars in 2025-26. However, the Stars were defensively weak in their latest outing, losing 4-3 following overtime against the Montreal Canadiens.
But, it could be worth noting that the Stars have suffered just three regulation-time defeats on the road this season.

The Stars have been largely reliable on the road this season, which will give them hope in Carolina. Meanwhile, they have won 47% of their away games against the Hurricanes. Therefore, a chance could be taken on Dallas to end their losing run on Tuesday.
