Washington was riding a stretch in which it had won four times in five games. The team's good fortune came to an end with a 141-115 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

After the first five minutes of the game, the Timberwolves did not trail. They held a sizeable 73-58 advantage at the break and stayed ahead by at least 13 points after halftime.
CJ McCollum was one of four players in double figures for Washington. He put up a team-high 20 points on 8-for-12 shooting from the field. Both Tre Johnson and Corey Kispert scored 13 points each.
Orlando Shooting For Its Third Win In Four Tries
After a 107-106 setback against Toronto, the Magic have won two of their last three games, including a 135-127 victory against the Indiana Pacers.
Orlando led by double digits (69-58) at the break before Indiana pulled ahead 74-73 in the fourth quarter, which was its first lead of the game.
However, a layup from Desmond Bane and Paolo Banchero's crucial 3-pointer helped the host team hold on for an eight-point win.
All five starters registered double-digit scoring totals for the Magic. Bane guided the offense with 31 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Banchero scored 28 points, collected 12 rebounds, and handed out five assists.
