If you'd hoped for a high-scoring game, you were not disappointed by any means. The game was tied five times, setting the stage for a furious finish.
Brock Purdy's 38-yard touchdown pass to Juan Jennings gave the home team a four-point advantage with 2:15 left to play.
The Bears still had one last chance to pull off another come-from-behind win. Unfortunately, Caleb Williams' pass attempt fell short in the end zone, giving the Niners their sixth consecutive win.
Williams, who has engineered six game-winning drives this season, completed 25 of 42 passes for 330 yards and two TDs.
On the other side, the Lions have dropped their three contests, including a 23-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. As one would expect, the fan base isn't exactly pleased with how the 2025 campaign has unfolded.

Detroit needed a win to keep its postseason hopes alive. Unfortunately, the team went MIA as Minnesota's defense forced six turnovers while recording five sacks.
Jared Goff went 18 for 29 for 197 yards and one touchdown. However, the offense produced only 231 yards, including a pedestrian 68 yards on the ground.
With the loss, the Lions were eliminated from playoff contention, and their two-year reign as division champs is over.
Here's a look at what you need to know for both teams ahead of this Week 18 matchup.
Chicago has dropped four of the previous five meetings in this series, including an embarrassing 52-21 loss back in Week 2. However, with an opportunity to clinch the No. 2 seed, look for a much-improved Bears squad to emerge victorious in this NFC-North showdown.
