  • The Texans won the AFC South again last year, but bowed out in the Divisional Round.
  • Los Angeles went 10-7 for the second straight season, before losing in the 2nd round.
  • These two teams last met back on October 31, 2021, in a game that the Rams won 38-22.

The Texans head to Los Angeles in their season opener, hoping to win the division once again this year. The Rams should keep this game close and bring pressure in their home stadium, despite losing some starters.

Stroud Seeks 3rd-Year Bounce-Back

After a phenomenal rookie season, QB C.J. Stroud declined a bit in his second year of NFL play. The Texans managed to go 10-7 and win the division again, but they remained unable to reach the AFC Championship Game. Houston retained much of their talent in the offseason, creating hope that a Stroud bounce-back would be enough to catapult them into Super Bowl contention. Beating the Rams would be a good start.

Rams Hope to Stay Competitive

The Rams continue to stay in contention despite seeing much roster turnover at their key positions over the past few seasons. Much of that has been due to the consistency of QB Matthew Stafford and the offense. Unfortunately, Stafford is banged up to start the season, and WR Cooper Kupp departed for Seattle in the summer. Names other than just Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams will need to make a bigger impact.

Texans vs Rams NFL Pick:

This should be one of the closer and more exciting games of Week 1, between two teams that went 10-7 and won a playoff game last season. The Rams have a key advantage hosting this game in LA, but need to avoid a slow start. Their gameplan is likely to be heavily focused on the run, which will put them in a tough spot if the Texans claim an early lead. Take Houston to cover this one as they very well may win it outright.
