Cowboys Aim to Build on Momentum

The Cowboys took down the Chiefs in a thrilling clash on Thanksgiving. They won 31-28, improving to 6-5-1 on the season. The victory kept Dallas in contention in a tight NFC playoff race, though they have a lot of work to do to claim one of the seven spots. The offense was once again superb on Thursday, and while the defense left much to be desired, it is starting to show signs of improvement. Up next are the Lions.

Lions Need Win to Stay in Wild Card Race

The Lions were unable to split the season series against the Packers, losing and falling to 7-5. They've now lost eight of their last nine Thanksgiving games. Detroit had high hopes for this year after going 15-2 in the regular season last year, but things have not gone as planned. They're still well in contention for a playoff spot, but the Lions desperately need to continue winning to have a chance of making the field.

Cowboys vs Lions NFL Pick

This game has major implications with the NFC's #8 and #9 teams facing off. The loser of this game will see their uphill climb to make the postseason get several levels higher, while the winner will be within striking distance of a playoff spot. Both teams have been inconsistent, but the Lions should be able to take advantage of their home-field advantage and Dallas' subpar defense to earn the win in this game.
