  • The Chicago Bears dropped to 0-2 after an embarrassing loss to Detroit.
  • Dallas improved to 1-1 following an overtime win against the Giants.
  • These teams previously squared off on Oct. 30, 2022, with the Cowboys claiming a 49-29 victory.

One of the games on Sunday’s NFL slate features the Chicago Bears hosting the Dallas Cowboys. Who has the edge in our Bears vs Cowboys pick?

Bears Look To Bounce Back From Absymal Effort Against Detroit

Chicago had a fourth-quarter meltdown in the season-opening loss to Minnesota. Against the Lions, however, the game was over early, as Detroit went into the break with a 28-14 lead.

And it was more of the same in the second half, with the Lions producing a 24-7 scoring advantage en route to a blowout victory in this divisional matchup. Caleb Williams was 19 of 30 for 207 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception. Rome Odunze had a solid outing, finishing with seven catches for 128 yards and two TDs.

Detroit’s offense scored at will, amassing over 500 yards, five passing touchdowns, and two scores on the ground. The Lions also averaged a whopping 8.8 yards per play.

Dallas Seeks Its Second Straight Win

The Cowboys came up short against Philadelphia in their season opener. However, they responded with a 40-37 overtime victory against the New York Giants in Week 2.

Dallas led 17-16 after three quarters before both teams combined for 41 points in the final frame, resulting in an extra session. Cowboys’ kicker Brandon Aubrey—whose 64-yard field goal tied the game at the end of regulation—nailed the game-winning kick as the game clock expired in overtime.

With the victory, Dallas has now won nine straight against the Giants, the longest active streak in the league among division rivals.

Dak Prescott completed 38 of 52 passes for 361 yards. He threw two touchdowns and had one interception. Javonte Williams powered the ground game with 97 yards on 18 carries and one touchdown. CeeDee Lamb had nine catches for a total of 112 yards.

Bears vs Cowboys NFL Pick

Despite dropping its first two games, Chicago is currently a 1.5-point favorite. Here are a few betting trends to consider for both teams ahead of this Week 3 matchup.

  • The Bears are 1-12 straight-up (SU) in their last 13 games.
  • Chicago is 2-5 ATS in its previous seven outings.
  • The Cowboys are 15-5 in their last 20 Week 3 contests.
  • Dallas has covered the spread six times in its previous nine matchups.

In addition to a 0-2 start, Chicago has dropped 12 of its last 13 contests. Although Dallas is not a powerhouse by any means, this team has enough talent to beat a Bears team still searching for its identity.
