- Texas A&M improved to 2-0 following their 44-22 home victory over Utah State.
- Notre Dame was on their bye last week after losing to Miami by a score of 27-24.
- These teams last met on August 31, 2024, in a game that Notre Dame won 23-13.
Texas A&M and Notre Dame face off this week in a premier clash. The Fighting Irish enter this game favored, despite holding an 0-1 record. They’ll seek to earn a bounce back win here against the 2-0 Aggies.
Texas A&M Aims for Signature Win
Texas A&M defeated Utah State in a similar fashion to how they had UTSA. They scored over 40 points in both games, but also allowed over 20 points, failing to cover the spread both times. The Aggies still won each game by multiple scores, but they have concerns on defense ahead of this clash with Notre Dame.
Notre Dame Hoping to Bounce Back
Notre Dame had an extra week to sit and mull over their loss to Miami in Week 1. Now refreshed, the Fighting Irish will look to exploit the holes in Texas A&M’s defense. They seemed to be a step back from last year’s team that made the CFP Finals, but they’ll have a chance to right the ship with a victory this week.
#16 Texas A&M vs #8 Notre Dame NCAAF Pick
Texas A&M and Notre Dame are both eyeing this game as a potential signature win for their CFP resumes, raising the stakes quite a bit. Texas A&M’s lack of defensive control in their first two games may raise concerns, but I don’t think it’s as big of an issue as it may seem. Expect them to keep this one very close.
