  • Oregon stomped their rivals Oregon State last week, winning 41-7.
  • Penn State smothered Villanova, winning 52-6 and climbing to 3-0.
  • These teams last met on December 7, in a game that Oregon won 45-37.

Oregon and Penn State face off in a key battle between top-6 teams. The winner will gain a major leg up in the Big-10 and CFP races, while the loser will be left needing to find more ranked wins to stay in contention.

Oregon Seeking Return to Top-5

Oregon enters this Big-10 championship game rematch with a 4-0 record. They’ve dominated every team they’ve faced thus far, but also haven’t had the toughest opposition. That changes this week, with a trip to #3 Penn State. Sophomore QB Dante Moore stepped into the starting position this season and has done a very solid job so far. He’ll face a much tougher test against Penn State’s defense, needing to be at his best.

Penn State Eyeing Up Signature Win

Penn State and QB Drew Allar are probably still thinking about last season’s loss to Oregon in the Big-10 championship. They enter the rematch favored by 3.5 points and ranked #3 in the country. While some voters even see the Nittany Lions as the nation’s best, they have yet to face tough enough competition to really prove their mettle. This week’s game against Oregon’s top defense will be a key challenge for them.

#6 Oregon vs #3 Penn State NCAAF Pick

Home-field advantage plays a major role in college sports, which makes it tough to trust Oregon here. Not only will Penn State’s sellout crowd by extremely disruptive to the Ducks offense, but Oregon will also be traveling quite a distance to this game. That being said, they boast a more well-rounded roster and a more consistent history of success. Expect it to be lower scoring than last year, but with Oregon winning it again.
