Minnesota led by seven at the break before pulling ahead by 14 (87-73) entering the fourth. And in the final frame, the Timberwolves increased their advantage to 28 points, prompting both teams to empty their benches.
All five starters reached double figures for the home team. Anthony Edwards paced the offense with 26 points and five rebounds. Jaden McDaniels added 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the field.

The Cavaliers have won four of their last five contests. Their latest triumph includes a 120-116 victory against the Indiana Pacers.
The short-handed Cavaliers, who were without Donovan Mitchell and Max Straus, faced a nine-point deficit after 36 minutes of action. But thanks to a 36-23 outburst in the final frame, Cleveland escaped with a narrow four-point win.
Evan Mobley scored a team-high 20 points, along with six rebounds and five assists. Jarrett Allen posted a double-double that consisted of 19 points and 12 rebounds. He also had four assists.
