In a game that featured 26 ties and nine lead changes, the Celtics held a slim three-point advantage through three quarters. But a 14-0 run gave Denver a 101-90 lead midway through the final frame.
Although Boston trimmed the deficit to three points in the waning moments, the late-game surge wasn't enough to prevent the Nuggets from coming away with the "W".
Jaylen Brown guided the offense with 33 points, seven rebounds, and four assists, going 14-for-29 from the field. Derrick White and Payton Pritchard scored 17 points apiece.
Toronto Aiming For Its Fourth Straight Win
After a 106-103 loss to Denver on Dec. 31, the Raptors have responded with three straight wins. Their latest triumph includes a 97-96 victory against the Charlotte Hornets.
Toronto trailed by 10 points in the fourth quarter. However, the team pulled off a come-from-behind win thanks to Immanuel Quickley, who hit the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer.
RJ Barrett finished with a team-high 28 points and collected seven rebounds. Quickley contributed 21 points and four rebounds for a Toronto squad that shot 41 percent overall and just 21 percent from beyond the arc.
