  • The Rockets are 42-25 and have the second-best record in the Southwest Division.
  • Philadelphia is 23-44 and has the second-worst record in the Atlantic Division.
  • These teams last played on Nov. 27, with the Rockets claiming a 122-115 victory.

One of the games on Monday’s NBA slate features the Houston Rockets hosting the Philadelphia 76ers. Can Houston make it seven straight in our Rockets vs Sixers pick?

Surging Rockets Seek Seventh Straight Win

The Sixers dropped a 115-102 decision to the Indiana Pacers on Mar. 4. Since that setback, they have won their last six games, including a 117-114 victory against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night.

Jalen Green spearheaded an offense where all five starters reached double figures. He scored a team-high 28 points on 11-for-25 shooting from the field. Green also had six rebounds and three assists.

Alperen Sengun’s final stat line included 24 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Fred VanVleet added 23 points, seven dimes, and four boards.

In what proved to be a surprising back-and-forth battle, Chicago led 98-97 with just under six minutes to play in regulation. Green knocked down a 3-pointer, giving Houston a 100-98 lead at the 5:52 mark.

He followed that up with a layup to extend the Rockets’ advantage to five points, a lead they would not relinquish.

Flailing Sixers Ended Three-Game Skid With A Win Over The Mavericks

After a four-point victory against the Utah Jazz on Mar. 9, the Sixers had dropped their last three games before earning a 130-125 victory against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday afternoon.

Quentin Grimes was the noteworthy performer for the road team. He scored 28 points on 10-for-19 shooting from the field and had six assists.

Jalen Hood-Schifino, who averages just three points per outing, led the bench unit with 19 points and connected on five of his nine attempts from 3-point range.

After trailing by four points at intermission, Philly broke the game open in the third quarter, outscoring Dallas 34-18. The Mavericks responded with a 39-32 scoring edge in the final frame, but it wasn’t enough to keep them from falling three games below the .500 mark.

Rockets vs Sixers Pick: Houston Cruises To An Easy Victory

The Rockets have won seven of their last ten games. Although they are a mediocre offensive squad (17th in scoring), they have the second-best defensive rating in the league.

On the other side of this matchup, Philadelphia is just 3-7 across its last 10 outings. The Sixers are ranked 23rd in offensive efficiency and have the fourth-worst defensive rating in the association.

The Sixers have won three of the last four meetings in this series. But with their top three scorers out of the rotation, look for Houston to win this game handily.
