Pistons Look To Bounce Back From Six-Point Loss Against Memphis
After a three-game win streak, the Pistons have fallen off a bit, dropping three of their last four games. Their latest setback includes a 109-103 defeat at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night.
Cade Cunningham was one of four starters who reached double figures. He led the way with 25 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
Ausar Thompson also had a solid outing with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists. Isaiah Stewart scored 16 points and grabbed eight boards, while Dennis Schroder chipped in with 10 points and four dimes.
Detroit was within three points (101-98) before Desmond Bane hit a 3-pointer with 56 seconds left. The Grizzlies hit key free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
Kings Remain In Play-In Contention Following Unlikely Win Against Cavs
Meanwhile, following a three-game losing skid, the Kings have bounced back with two straight victories. Their latest triumph includes a 120-113 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night.
Zach Lavine set the tone for an offense that placed four players in double figures, He finished with 37 points on 15-for-21 shooting from the field and 7-for-11 from 3-point range.
DeMar DeRozan scored 28 points, along with seven assists and four rebounds. Domantas Sabonis contributed 27 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.
The Kings trailed by one point (106-105) with five minutes left to play in regulation. However, they took control of the game with a 13-5 run which enabled them to move into ninth place in the conference playoff race.
