One of the games on Tuesday’s NBA slate features the Denver Nuggets hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves. Which team will extend its winning streak in our Nuggets vs Timberwolves pick?

Nuggets Eyeing Third Consecutive Victory

Following a 129-119 loss against the Chicago Bulls on Mar. 24, the Nuggets have responded with two straight victories, including a 129-93 win against the Utah Jazz on Friday.

Nikola Jokic guided an offense in which six players registered double-digit scoring totals, including three of the team’s starters. His final stat line included 27 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, and four steals.

Michael Porter Jr. added 20 points, four rebounds, and four assists on 70 percent shooting from the field. Christian Braun finished with 16 points and four boards.

Denver led by a double-digit margin (57-47) at halftime. The home team pulled away after the break, outscoring its opponent by a 72-46 margin in the second half.

The Nuggets held Utah to 35.5 percent shooting overall and 17.5 percent from 3-point range. Denver also outscored the Jazz in the paint 64-46.

Minnesota Coming Off Double-Digit Win Against Pistons

After a 16-point defeat at the hands of the Indiana Pacers a week ago, the Timberwolves have responded with back-to-back victories against the Phoenix Suns (124-109) and the Detroit Pistons (123-104).

In the win over Detroit, Julius Randle scored a team-high 26 points on 9-for-18 shooting from the floor and a 7-for-7 effort from the charity stripe. He also tallied eight rebounds and five assists.

Anthony Edwards logged 25 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots. Rudy Gobert contributed 19 points and pulled down a game-high 25 rebounds, including 10 on the offensive glass.

Minnesota trailed by 14 points after the first quarter. And with the game tied at 69 in the third quarter, Randle knocked down a 3-pointer, giving the Timberwolves a 72-69 advantage. They never trailed the rest of the way, outscoring Detroit 69-44 after the break.

Nuggets vs Timberwolves Pick: Who Has The Edge In This Pivotal Matchup?

The Nuggets have gone 5-5 in their last 10 contests. Denver is not a good defensive squad (ranked 24th in points allowed), but it does have the third-highest-scoring offense, averaging 120.9 points per game.

On the other hand, the Timberwolves have won seven of their previous ten contests. Minnesota is a top-10 team from an offensive standpoint and has the sixth-best defensive rating in the association, giving up 111.5 points per 100 possessions.

Minnesota has won all three matchups this season, with the last two being by double-digit margins. However, look for Denver to avoid a season sweep when these division rivals clash on Tuesday night.
