One of the games on Wednesday’s NBA slate features the Boston Celtics hosting the Miami Heat. Will Boston’s win streak reach double digits in our Celtics vs Heat pick?

Surging Celtics Seeking 10th Straight Victory

After a six-point loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on March 12, the Celtics have won nine straight. Their most recent triumph was Monday’s 117-103 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Al Horford paced the offense with 26 points and eight rebounds off the bench. The veteran forward also connected on six of his 13 attempts from beyond the arc.

Jayson Tatum finished with 25 points and 14 boards. Meanwhile, Kristpas Porzingis and Jrue Holiday contributed 19 and 18 points, respectively.

Leading 92-85 after three quarters, the Celtics opened the final frame shooting 4-for-6 from long range, building its biggest lead of the contest.

When it was all said and done, Boston cruised to a 14-point victory, sweeping a six-game road trip for the first time in franchise history.

Miami Hopes To Extend Its Win Streak To Six Games

Miami dropped a 102-98 decision to the Houston Rockets on Mar. 21. Since that setback, the Heat have posted victories in each of their last five outings, including a blowout 120-94 win against the Washington Wizards.

Bam Adebayo was one of five players who registered double-digit scoring totals. He led the way with 28 points on 11-for-19 shooting from the field. Adebayo also pulled down 12 rebounds and handed out five assists.

Tyler Herro added 27 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals, while Pelle Larsson chipped in with 15 points, seven boards, and five dimes.

Thanks to a 15-0 run in the opening 12 minutes, the Heat held a 36-23 advantage and never looked back. Miami outrebounded Washington 62-39. The Heat also won the points in the paint battle by a 68-36 margin.

Celtics vs Heat Pick: Who Has The Edge In This Pivotal Matchup?

Alongside their nine-game winning streak, the Celtics are one of the few teams that plays well at both ends of the floor. Boston is ranked third in offensive efficiency and ranks in the top five from a defensive standpoint.

On the other hand, the Heat have gone 5-5 in their previous 10 contests. Although Miami has the fifth-lowest scoring average in the association, it is ranked seventh in points allowed, giving up 109.9 points per game.

Both teams enter this conference tilt riding multi-game win streaks. However, Boston has won six straight in this series, including all three matchups this season. With that in mind, look for the Celtics to stay hot when these teams clash on Wednesday night.
