• The Cavaliers are 56-10 and have the league’s best record.
  • Orlando is 31-37 and is slotted in the No. 8 spot in the conference playoff race.
  • These teams last played on Feb. 25, with the Cavaliers claiming a 122-82 victory.

One of the games on Sunday’s NBA slate features the Cleveland Cavaliers hosting the Orlando Magic. Does Cleveland make it 17 straight in our Cavs vs Magic pick?

Cavaliers Look Like A Legit Title Contender This Season

The Cavaliers look virtually unstoppable, having won 16 straight games. Their most recent triumph was a 133-124 win against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.

Evan Mobley was the primary catalyst for an offense where eight players registered double-digit scoring totals. His final stat line included 22 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists.

Darius Garland scored 20 points, handed out nine assists, and had four steals. Meanwhile, De’Andre Hunter contributed 18 points for a bench unit that produced 59 points.

Cleveland led by seven points after the opening stanza but broke the game open in the second quarter, courtesy of a 23-9 burst that gave the team a 56-39 advantage.

Memphis won the fourth quarter scoring battle 32-21, but it was not enough to prevent the Cavs from adding another victory to their win total.

Can Orlando Pull Off The Upset?

Following a five-game losing streak, the Magic have split their last four games, including a 118-111 setback against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.

Paolo Banchero was a force to be reckoned with. He scored 43 points on 16-for-32 shooting from the field and a 2-for-7 effort from long range. He also collected 10 rebounds and had three assists.

Franz Wagner, the only other starter in double figures, finished with 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists, and Caleb Houstan added 18 points off the bench.

The teams were tied at 98 with 3:32 left to play before Minnesota reeled off nine consecutive points en route to outscoring Orlando by a 40-24 margin.

Cavaliers vs Magic Pick: Cleveland Wins Hands Down

Alongside their impressive win streak and division crown, the Cavaliers will likely finish with the top record in the Eastern Conference, a feat this franchise has not accomplished since the 2015-16 campaign. Furthermore, Cleveland has the sixth-best defensive rating and boasts the league’s top offense. Simply put, Orlando is in trouble.

On the other side of this matchup, the Magic are just 3-7 across their last 10 contests and have the third-worst offensive rating in the NBA. From a defensive standpoint, Orlando allows just 106 points per outing, which is the best mark in the association, and has the third-lowest defensive rating.

In what could be a low-scoring affair, given the defensive prowess of both ball clubs, look for Cleveland to notch its 17th straight victory.
