Event Preview

The relentless action on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule continues on June 21, as the inaugural edition of the Anduril 250 will be staged in California. The race will serve as the final regular season race before the start of the in-season challenge, ensuring that the race will present an opportunity for drivers to build momentum.

This week’s race will cover a total of 255 miles, with the field completing a total of 75 laps. The first two stages will see 20 laps apiece covered, before the final stage will see the remaining 35 laps contested.

Given that the race is staged on a street course, it could favor the chances of Shane van Gisbergen. The Kiwi has been dominant on street and road courses since the start of last season, and he is already a winner on the Cup Series schedule in 2026.

There is also hope that Tyler Reddick could bounce back to winning form after winning the Texas Grand Prix earlier this season. The current Drivers’ Championship leader is yet to win since achieving his fifth victory of the campaign. Denny Hamlin’s dominant recent record on track makes him a solid contender, as he bids to close the gap at the top of the standings.

Anduril 250 Picks

The track layout will suit Shane van Gisbergen perfectly this week. Therefore, we expect the Kiwi to maintain his excellent record on street courses by winning at the Naval Base in California.
