Event Preview

The second Crown Jewel race on the NASCAR schedule will be held this weekend in North Carolina. There is a competitive feel to the race, which will cover a total of 600 miles. This weekend’s race comes just seven days after the All-Star Race, which was won impressively by Christopher Bell.

Despite no points being up for grabs last weekend, the All-Star Race has been an excellent indicator of a driver who could win the championship. Bell has been in excellent form throughout the season, winning three times and finishing on the podium on a further three occasions.

Kyle Larson comes into the weekend as the current leader in the Drivers’ Championship. The former champion has won twice in the last four races, and he has finished in the top five in each of the last four NASCAR Cup Series events.

William Byron will be aiming for a return to form in North Carolina. This year’s Daytona 500 winner has finished outside of the top ten in each of the last two races. Chase Elliott also deserves respect this weekend after driving consistently throughout 2025.
