The New York Mets (21-11, 1st in the NL East) visit the St. Louis Cardinals (14-18, 4th in the NL Central). New York lost 2 straight to the Diamondbacks. St. Louis just split a 4-game series with their division rivals, the Reds. Clay Holmes, getting into a groove as a starter, takes the mound for the Mets. The Cardinals send veteran Sonny Gray to the hill.

The Minnesota Twins (13-18, 4th in the AL Central) complete their series against division rival, the Cleveland Guardians (17-13, 2nd place). Cleveland has won 2 of the first 3 games of this series. They send Ben Lively to the mound. Struggling Minnesota starts Simeon Woods Richardson.

The Detroit Tigers (19-12, 1st place in the AL Central) visit the Los Angeles Angels (12-17, 5th in the AL West). It is the start of a 4-game series between teams heading in opposite directions. Detroit starts Casey Mize, who is having a resurgence. LA counters with Yusei Kikuchi, who has pitched better than his 0-4 record.

The New York Yankees (18-12, 1st place AL East) finish their 3-game series against the Baltimore Orioles (11-18, 5th place in the AL East) and keep the O's skidding. New York sends veteran Carlos Carrasco to the mound. Baltimore responds with lefty Cade Povich.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are wrangling with the Giants and Padres for 1st place in the NL West. They host the last place Miami Marlins at Dodger Stadium. LA's former All-Star Tony Gonsolin returns to the MLB mound for the 1st time since 2023 after several injuries. Miami responds with Cal Quantrill.

The Los Angeles Angels (12-15, last place in the AL West) visit the Seattle Mariners (16-12, 1st place in the AL West). The Angels got off to a respectable start, but have lost 10 of 13 to fall to the basement of their division. The Mariners have won 6 of 8 to jump into 1st place. LA starts Jack Kochanowicz. Seattle counters with Bryce Miller.

The NL West-leading San Francisco Giants (19-10) travel to meet their division rival San Diego Padres (17-11). It is a brief 2-game series where the two postseason contenders will get their initial sense of each other. The teams send their best starters to the mound as SF's Logan Webb faces SD's Nick Pivetta.

The New York Mets (19-9, 1st place in the NL East) visit the Washington Nationals (13-15, 3rd place in the NL East) trying to recover from a horrible loss on Sunday, having blown a 5-run lead in the late innings. New York sends pleasant surprise Griffin Canning to the mound. Washington responds with former Met Trevor Williams.

The Texas Rangers (15-12, 1st place in the AL West) complete their 3-game series against the San Francisco Giants (18-10, 2nd in NL West). The teams have split the first two games. Young righty Jack Leiter returns to the Rangers' mound after missing nearly a month with a blister on his pitching hand. The Giants counter with veteran fireballer Jordan Hicks.

The Toronto Blue Jays (13-13, 3rd in the AL East) play the first game of a doubleheader against the New York Yankees (15-11, 1st place, AL East). New York tries to rebound from a dreadful loss on Friday. It was another poor performance from closer Devin Williams. Ace Max Fried starts for the Yankees. Kevin Gausman takes the hill for Toronto.

The Atlanta Braves have rebounded from their atrocious start and are playing much better, crawling back into contention. They visit the Arizona Diamondbacks, who are hanging tough in the rough NL West. Atlanta calls on righty Grant Holmes. He faces Arizona veteran Merrill Kelly.
