Event Preview

The final event on the LIV Golf schedule before the start of the final major of the season is set for Spain this weekend. LIV Golf Andalucia has been held in every season of the Saudi-funded tour, with the players competing over a distance of 7,010 yards at Valderrama Golf Club.

There was Spanish success in the competition last year, as Sergio Garcia came out on top following a dramatic playoff against Anirban Lahiri. A follow-up success could be an interesting angle this weekend, as Garcia has excellent experience at the course, and has been in strong form throughout the season.

However, the top three stars in the overall standings currently dominate the betting. Joaquin Niemann has once again been a standout performer on the tour this season, accumulating 166.52 points overall. But, he endured a challenging weekend last time out after finishing outside of the top 20 in Dallas.

Patrick Reed returned to form in the U.S. event after finishing ahead of Jinichiro Kozuma following a playoff. Jon Rahm will be a red-hot favorite ahead of his home event, and he could hold strong claims despite having failed to win on the LIV Golf schedule so far this season.
