Event Preview

Scottie Scheffler made history last weekend, as the American moved to within one victory of a career Grand Slam after dominating The Open field. This weekend, the PGA Tour action continues, as the 3M Open will be staged at TPC Twin Cities.

A competitive event is expected, with Scheffler and Rory McIlroy both bypassing the weekend. Players will compete across 7,431 yards in the hope of winning their share of the $8.1 million purse. Lee Hodges holds the tournament record scores after finishing 24-under in 2023.

Sam Burns will be a solid contender this weekend, despite a couple of underwhelming efforts in the United Kingdom over the last two weeks. On U.S. soil, he has finished in the money on eleven straight starts, and has finished in the top ten on three occasions. He also goes well at the 3M Open, achieving top 15 finishes in two of three starts.

Wyndham Clark ended The Open excellently last weekend after shooting tremendous scores across the final three days to take a share of fourth. The American has also got form in the book at TPC Twin Cities, taking T5 at the event in 2019.

Jacob Bridgeman could be a contender that goes under the radar this weekend after holding the lead at the competition last year before eventually finishing T19. He has already finished in the top five on four starts in 2025.

3M Open Picks

Course form could count for a lot this weekend, meaning Maverick McNealy could be an outstanding chance. He finished in a share of third in the 3M Open last year, and has put together a solid run of results, which includes a T5 and three further top-25 finishes across his last five starts.
