Event Preview

The F1 action comes thick and fast at this stage of the season, with the first edition of the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix set for June 14. This race will cover a total distance of 307.236 km, which is made up by 66 laps.

All eyes will be on Kimi Antonelli this weekend, as the Italian superstar aims to extend his advantage at the top of the Drivers’ Championship standings with a sixth straight win. Antonelli showcased his ability last time out, holding his nerve to finish six seconds clear of Lewis Hamilton at the Monaco Grand Prix.

George Russell lost ground on his teammate and championship rival in Monaco, eventually finishing 12th after being demoted following penalties. Hamilton is now Antonelli’s main championship rival, with the Ferrari driver having finished second in the last two races.

A number of big names were forced into retirements in Monaco, with Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen, and Lando Norris all failing to finish the race. Isack Hadjar was an excellent performer for Red Bull, taking third. It was also a positive weekend for Pierre Gasley, Liam Lawson, and Arvid Linblad, who all achieved points finishes.

Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix Picks

It has been a sensational period for Kimi Antonelli, and his dominance on track is unlikely to end this weekend. We could foresee the Italian dominating the weekend once again, ultimately recording a sixth straight victory in Barcelona.
