  • The Minnesota Lynx own the league’s best record, but where do they rank in the title odds race?
  • Although they have the second-best record in the association, the New York Liberty are the favorites to repeat.
  • Lastly, the Phoenix Mercury have raised some eyebrows with solid play during the first half of the season.

We have reached the halfway point of the 2025 WNBA season. This means it’s a good time to take an updated look at which teams have the best title odds.

Best WNBA Title Odds: New York Liberty (+155)

After falling to the Las Vegas Aces in the 2023 WNBA Finals, New York won it all in 2024.

The Liberty head into Tuesday night’s action with the second-best record in the league at 15-6. They have won each of their last three games before the All-Star break.

New York ranks second in both offensive and defensive efficiency. While the defending champs are .500 (6-6) since their sizzling 9-0 start, look for this group to continue to be in the mix of the title contender conversation.

Second Best WNBA Title Odds: Minnesota Lynx (+200)

With a 79-66 victory against the Phoenix Mercury on Jul. 16, the Minnesota Lynx improved to 20-4 and are the proud owners of the best record in the league.

Like New York, the Lynx started off the season 9-0 before losing their first game in June. However, this group has gone 11-3 since that setback.

Additionally, Minnesota is head and shoulders above the field in offensive and defensive rating. Furthermore, the league’s top team is tied for second in opponents’ overall conversion rate (41.2%) and first in opponents’ 3-point efficiency (30%).

Simply put, this team is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the postseason. And should they clash with New York in the Finals again, the outcome could have a different ending this time around.

Third Best WNBA Title Odds: Phoenix Mercury (+550)

Despite suffering a double-digit loss to Minnesota before the midseason hiatus, the Mercury are 15-7 and have the second-best win-loss total in the Western Conference.

Phoenix finished the 2024 campaign with a 19-21 record before being swept in the first round of last year’s playoffs. However, this season has been a different story altogether.

The Mercury enter the second half of the season with three wins in their last four outings. Not only that, but this group has the fifth-highest scoring average and is ranked sixth in points allowed per outing (79.3).

While it is unlikely that Phoenix will overtake the other teams on the list, this is a squad that opponents should not sleep on, as they are capable of beating any team on a given night.
