One of the games on Wednesday’s NBA preseason slate features the San Antonio Spurs hosting the Miami Heat. Who has the edge in our Spurs vs Heat pick?

Spurs Open Preseason Slate With Blowout Win Against The Loong-Lions

San Antonio kicked off the preseason with a 119-88 victory against the Guangzhou Loong Lions on Monday. This one was over early. The Spurs raced out to a 34-22 lead after the first quarter. They increased their advantage 74-45 at the break en route to an easy victory.

San Antonio had five players who reached double figures. Julian Champagnie scored 16 points, along with four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Keldon Johnson also tallied 16 points, three rebounds, and two assists.

The Spurs shot 53.8 percent overall, converted 39.5 percent of their 3-point attempts, and registered 31 assists on 43 made field goals.

Miami Seeking Its First Preseason Victory

Meanwhile, the Heat enter this tilt riding a two-game losing streak. This includes a 103-93 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday.

Miami overcame an early seven-point deficit to take a three-point lead into the final frame. Unfortunately, Milwaukee won the scoring battle over the final 12 minutes by a 35-22 margin on its way to a 10-point win.

Norman Powell led the starting unit with 18 points on 6-for-12 shooting overall and 3-for-6 from 3-point range. Kel’el Ware added 18 points and a game-high 13 rebounds off the bench.

Spurs vs Heat NBA Pick

The Heat have won all five of the previous head-to-head matchups in this series. But given that Tyler Herro is out of the rotation for eight to 12 weeks, look for San Antonio to come out on top in this matchup.
