Entertaining action on the golfing schedule is set for this weekend, as the Father/Son Challenge at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club will be staged. Known as the PNC Championship, this event has been staged annually since 1995, with the field competing across 7,234 yards for their share of the $1 million purse.

The qualifying professional must have won a Major championship or the Players Championship to qualify for an invitation, and they must join forces with a family member of school age up to senior citizens.

Bernhard Langer and son Jason has dominated the event in recent editions, setting a tournament record score when holding off Tiger and Charlie Woods 12 months ago. That was the sixth time that Bernhard Langer had won the event, marking the second straight success.

John Daly and his son also have a solid record in the event, previously winning the 2021 edition by two strokes from Tiger and Charlie Woods. Vijay Singh and Qass Singh also have a fine record, winning the event in 2022.
