The big race on the turf at Gulfstream Park on Saturday comes in the form of the G1 Pegasus World Cup Turf, which covers a distance of 1 1/8 miles. Program Trading will be a solid favorite for the Chad Brown yard, having run well in Grade One company last season, taking second in the G1 Turf Mile at Keeneland.

However, the distance would be a slight concern. Therefore, Test Score could be an interesting play for the Graham Motion yard. The three-year-old has proven stamina, finishing a good fourth in the G3 Nashville Derby and third in the G1 Hollywood Derby.

Pegasus World Cup Filly & Mare Turf Pick

Talented fillies and mares will also be in action at Gulfstream Park this weekend. A Grade Two over 1 1/16 miles has attracted a talented field of 12 runners.

Crevalle d’Oro is an interesting runner on these terms, having excelled on her previous starts at Gulfstream Park. She was an emphatic winner over a mile at the track last month, beating Movin’ On Up by a head.

Further improvement could be likely and that could make this five-year-old a very fascinating contender for trainer Jose Francisco D’Angelo.

Christophe Clement Stakes Pick

Fillies and mares will also be in action earlier in the card at Gulfstream Park on Saturday, as 1 ½ miles will be covered in the G3 Christophe Clement Stakes.

Valencia should have very strong claims, with British Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy booked to take the ride.

The five-year-old mare has bundles of stamina, and was extremely dominant in October when easily beating a talented field in the G3 Dowager Stakes. Should be capable of following up on that success in this fairly weak-looking race.
